Muktinath        Is revered as sacred by both Hindus and Buddhists. The main shrine is a pagoda- shaped temple dedicated to Lord Bishnu. Set into the all
                       around it are 108 waterspouts from which pour holy water. The Jwala Mai temple nearby contains a spring and an eternal flame fed  by
                       natural gas spewing out of the ground. Muktinath (altitude 3,800 m)

ACAP permits
Important information for Annapurna Treks Entry permits for Annapurna Conservation Area Project cost double if you wait to buy it at a checkpost on the trek. Permits are sold in advance in either Kathmandu or Pokhara.
You should buy the Rs 2000 (about US$27) entry permit before starting your trek into the Annapurna region, otherwise, you will have to pay Rs 4000 (about US$54) for the permit.
The permit can be bought from:
Kathmandu- The national parks/ACAP office (Tel 225393   ext 363) in the basement of the Sanchaya Sanchaya Kosh building at the entrance to Thamel
Pokhara - ACAP counter (Tel 061-32275), opposite Nepal Grindlays Bank on the lakeside in Pokhara
Both offices are open from 9 am to 5 pm (Feb - mid Nov) and 9 am to 4 pm (mid Nov - Feb). Bring Rs 2000 and one  photograph.
